Spring, A Royal Wedding and Dining Al Fresco

Spring in York continues to be wonderful.

We had a lovely Easter Picnic organized by Rosie. It managed to be sunny and we found a nice spot near the river in a dandelion covered field.

Elizabeth hosted a Royal Wedding Soiree, at Constantine House. We had mimosas, of Buck’s Fizz as the Brits call it. There was plenty of food including tea cakes and guacamole, to make it a completely international event.

It was a great way to see a very beautiful wedding.

Ben hosted a lovely barbecue, in which he impressed us with his grill skills. Ben kindly grilled a mushroom for me so that I could eat it like a burger, and it was delicious.

It looks as though I will be staying on here in York for some time to come, and I look forward to seeing many other parts of it. I also hope to see much more of England while I’m at it. There is so much that is strange and wonderful about the city. I am preparing to embark on a summer of research so i might not be seeing much outside the library for the the next few months, but I will try not to get lost in there.
