Betty’s Tea Room

Betty’s is the sort of tea room that invites special occasions and tourists of York. The tea is specially blended by Taylor’s of Harrogate, makers of the Yorkshire tea. Some might recognize the brand as the one sold by Barnes & Noble stateside. This afternoon Hannah, Stacie, and I went for a cream tea as part of the York Residents Festival. Residents were being encouraged with special offers to go to the York attractions normally frequented by tourists.

Stacie and me being quite touristy for a residents festival.

The Tea Room Blend came in this silver tea service, steeped loose. The strainer is provided.

Cream Tea essentially is tea with a scone topped with jam and clotted cream. A lovely afternoon treat on any day.
